Marrakech
A riad in the medina, the Majorelle garden and a first evening on Jemaa el-Fna square.
From a riad in the Marrakech medina over the Atlas passes to a night among the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Yentl draws a route that fits your pace, your budget and who is coming along, with places and people she knows herself.

Yentl is the travel designer behind Botanica. With her family she drove through Morocco, from the souks of Marrakech over the High Atlas to the Dades gorges and the dunes of Merzouga. She goes back regularly to get to know new places and to check the old ones.
Every trip starts with listening. Who is coming, what makes you happy, what would you rather skip? Only then does she draw a route with stays she trusts, a pace that works and tips you won’t find in any guidebook.
Pictures from our own trips: the souks, the gorges, the oases, the desert and a lot of mint tea.

Six places that come back in almost every route. Yentl decides with you what fits in, and for how long.

A riad in the medina, the Majorelle garden and a first evening on Jemaa el-Fna square.

Berber villages around Imlil, walks in the Ourika valley and cool nights in the mountains.

Waterfalls three hours from Marrakech, with monkeys along the path and lunch by the water.

Aït Ben Haddou, the Dades valley and the Todra gorge, with palm groves and mud villages on the way.

A camel ride to a camp among the dunes of Erg Chebbi, and a sky full of stars.

The largest medina in the country, or wind, fish and blue boats on the Atlantic coast.
A route we often use as a starting point. Yentl adapts it to your pace, the season and who you travel with.

Yentl travelled there with her own family. She knows how long a child lasts on the back seat and where you earn an afternoon by the pool.
Four steps, no small print. After the first call you decide whether to go on.
Half an hour, by phone or video. Yentl listens to who you are, when you want to go and what your budget is.
Free, no stringsYentl draws the trip: route, stays, timing and the places you should not miss, with a cost estimate. You adjust until it feels right.
Tailor-made, within budgetYou book yourself, with Yentl’s file in hand: where, at what price and with which discount from her network.
Discounts from her networkA closed restaurant or in the mood for something extra? Yentl stays reachable on WhatsApp until you are home.
Never on your ownYentl works with a fixed design fee, agreed up front. A smart route and discounts from her network earn it back and more.
Yentl earns nothing on your bookings. So she only picks what is best for you, including the small place an agency would never show.
A riad changes hands, a camp closes. Yentl works with what is true today, because she checks it herself.
Morocco has the opposite season to Croatia: the best months are in autumn, winter and spring.
Autumn and springMarch to May and October to November are ideal: pleasant in the cities and bearable in the desert.
WinterSunny days and few people, but cold nights in the Atlas and the desert. Sometimes there is snow on the passes.
RamadanIn 2027 roughly from 8 February to 9 March. A special time to experience the country, but daily rhythms and opening hours change.
Without a doubt the best trip we have ever made. Yentl really listened and put together a flexible plan that suited us perfectly.
Yentl showed us all the hidden gems! Just when we thought it could not get any better, she pulled another one out of her hat.
Your enthusiasm and passion are wonderful. Even on the day trips you get to see the hidden treasures of the area.

Yentl works with a fixed design fee that you know up front. The amount depends on the length and complexity of your trip; you hear it in the first call. She guarantees you earn the fee back through a smarter route and the discounts from her network.
You book yourself, with Yentl’s file in hand: sometimes directly with the riad or the guide, sometimes through a platform. Botanica is not a travel agency. That way you stay in control and pay no hidden commission.
Absolutely. Yentl travelled there with her own family. She plans shorter drives, stays with a pool or garden and activities children enjoy.
Both work. Yentl advises what suits your route and how confident you feel behind the wheel. She advises against long drives after dark: poorly lit roads and donkey carts.
The earlier the better, especially for Easter and autumn holidays: the best riads and desert camps fill up fast. Two to three months ahead is a good moment to start.
Most EU, UK and US citizens need only a valid passport for a holiday of up to 90 days. Check your government’s current travel advice before you leave.

Tell Yentl in two sentences who you are and when you would like to go. She will suggest a moment to talk.
